As some of you may know, I am married to my graphic designer. (Shameless plug–he actually won a Graphic Design USA award for my logo and branding!)

I always seem to realize that I need a new batch of business cards at the very last minute and I hate to keep making the hubby ask his printer contacts for favors.

How awesome would it be to buy a pair of cute, comfy shoes and also feel like you were doing something good for the world?

Ok, that was kind of a leading question.

I was lucky enough to have my pick of Patagonia shoes from the site and after hemming and hawing for a while, I settled on the Maha Curl flat in Dragon Fruit .

I’ve been trying to upgrade my daily show wardrobe from sneakers and flip flops to something a little more chic, and these totally fit the bill.  And the little girl in me totally wanted a pair of pink shoes.  So. Much. Fun!

Pocoyo Squeeze ‘n Play (review and giveaway)

My 2 1/2 year old daughter isn’t really all that familiar with the characters from Pocoyo or the show itself (currently on Nick JR., PBS and Univision) However, when she opened the box with this soft 9-inch tall guy inside and heard 3 different sounds he makes when you squeeze his tummy, she immediately declared him her new baby.

This little guy has found his way into a doll stroller, a doll bed and into my daughter’s high chair (it was time for his lunch.)

I love that my kidlet didn’t need to be familiar with the show to immediately make friends with Pocoyo himself. Imagine the reaction that a die-hard fan of the cartoon would have?

My one issue is that I really don’t love toys that make noise…particularly toys that don’t have volume control. Thankfully, my daughter is more into toting Pocoyo around than actually squeezing him…though she does enjoy his little giggle.

Yo Gabba Gabba Live!: It’s Time to Dance! Music, Dancing and a Whole Lot of Confetti (Review)

If you're not familiar with Yo Gabba Gabba, and you have a soft spot in your heart for disco and the Muppets, you really should check them out.

Can you name another show at which you can watch larger-than-life technicolor dancing creatures, see an SNL castmember and two rappers, dance with your food in the aisles and experience an indoor snowstorm?

My family got to see all this and more at the Yo Gabba Gabba Live show at the Beacon this Sunday.

When I was offered 2pm tickets, I was a little bit concerned because that's smack in the middle of my two year old daughter's naptime.  (She and my husband actually joined my older kiddo and me at the show during intermission after a failed attempt to get her to nap.)

Celebrate National Bubble Bath Day with Pocoyo on January 8th! (Giveaway)

You're probably asking yourself, "Who is Pocoyo? and Why do I want him in my bath?!

Pocoyo Bath Figures

Pocoyo, which means 'Little Me' in Spanish, is a TV series that follows the adventures of a 3-year-old Pocoyo and his sidekicks Elly (an Elephant), Pato (a duck) and Loula (a dog.)  As one might expect, Pocoyo does all kind of silly stuff and dances around quite a lot, talking to both himself and to the narrator (the English version is narrated by Stephen Fry.)

Pocoyo became so popular worldwide that he expanded into a whole online virtual extravaganza chock full of games, webisodes and more which was given a 4 star review by Common Sense Media.  No wonder the little guy has such a big head!
