I am not generally a lover of bells and whistles…and I tend to avoid flashing lights like the plague.
I am that mean mom who has declared a life-long ban on light up shoes and most blinking toys.
This crazy construction toy had me at hello.
To start, the pieces in the box are pretty simple: glow sticks, flex links and the light up pods that flash and make the whole glow thing possible.
My 2nd grade son and my preK daughter both jumped right in and started building.
My son, who likes to be sure that he’s doing everything “right” started with a full examination of the pictures in the included manual. My daughter just decided that she would use them to light one of the menorahs that we had set up for Chanukah.
Very different approaches. No less win.
They make a great quiet time toy and would make a great travel toy, but maybe not a in a moving vehicle mmk?
If you succumb (and your probably will) and order a set for your household, make sure to post pics all over social media using hashtag #WAYToGLOW) for a chance to win monthly prizes on the Light Up Links Instagram and Facebook pages
