Would I like to preview a sale? Yes, please. I didn’t
need to be asked twice when I was invited by Momtrends and Old
Navy to preview the massive sale that will be going on
this week. The Old Navy Kids and Baby Sale – where all baby and
kids clothes will be up to 40% in stores and on-line from 2/7-2/20.
Not to interject a math lesson, but
that is almost half off an entire Spring wardrobe for your little
ones. No small thing if your kids grow anywhere near as fast as
mine do!
The first thing that grabbed my
attention were all the bright, happy spring colors. Particularly on
a cold winter day, it was nice to choose some bright pinks and
oranges that felt like a little bit of warm weather and vacation.
I knew
right away that I was going to have to bring home that pink tutu
for my 3 1/2 year old daughter, who would happily live in a tutu
all the time if I let her. I used that skirt as a basis for a
couple of outfits and knew that I’d have a happy little girl. For
my son, who’s 6 1/2, I was also drawn to a couple of pieces right
away which led me to build more than one outfit. My son has
expressed interest in having a pink dress shirt, like the ones his
dad wears (Yes, real men do wear pink!) The Boys Patterned Poplin
Shirts were so soft too! I realized that if I got a pair of
convertible cargos (such a cool skeleton print!) an additional pair
of more traditional navy khakis, this pink button down shirt could
go from traditional dressy to more hipster casual. I threw in an
awesome polo shirt with a screen print tie for extra layering fun.
When I got home with the outfits, my son and daughter were both
pretty psyched to vamp for the camera in their new spring clothes!
You can
