It is hard enough to have a kid these days, what with all of the gear that seems to automatically come with them. Add to that they stress of a constant flow of product recalls, and a well-meaning parent could really lose her mind!
Have the safety regulations that were in place when your first child was born completely changed now that you're about to have #2?
For once, a large conglomerate seems to have the consumers' back.
From Friday, August 27th (today!) until Sunday, September 19th, proactive parents are being invited to bring their potentially unsafe
used baby items, to their friendly, neighborhood Babies"R"Us and Toys"R"Us superstore. Anyone who brings in items (which do not need to have been purchased at Toys"R"Us or Babies"R"Us or even be a product line that the chain sells) will receive
25% savings on the purchase of a new item. Granted, the 25% discount will only help you if you want to purchase your new product at this particular chain of stores, but it sure beats having a beat up and potentially unsafe carseat, crib, stroller, highchair etc in your possession!
Specific brands participating in the “Great Trade-In”
event include Babi Italia, Baby Cache, Baby Trend, Bergamo, Britax,
Carter’s, Chicco, Contours by Kolcraft, Cosco, Delta, Eddie
Bauer, Evenflo, Graco, Jeep, Little Tikes, Safety 1st, Sorelle and
Step2.
