Offering new foods to my little one–Her first few months of food

I thought that I was neurotic about trying new foods with my first
child.  Now that we know that my 3.5 year old seems to be allergic to
nuts and fish, I am being ultra, super, crazy cautious with my just
-turned 1 year old.

In the very beginning, I waited a couple of weeks in between foods.  Now we're up to the more average schedule of a new food every 3 days to a week.

Here is what she has eaten so far in the order that she has eaten it:

Oatmeal cereal

Applesauce

Carrots

Prunes

Peas

Peaches

String beans

Oatios cereal (made of Oats & Rice–wheat free)*

Barley teething biscuit*

Sweet potatoes/yams

Bananas

Pears

Butternut Squash

Avocado

Yogurt

Cheese (american, cheddar, processed mozzarella)*

White Potatoes

Blueberries (quartered or pureed)

Watermelon

Cottage Cheese

Mango

Cantaloupe

Freeze-dried pears*

Rice crackers*

*finger foods

So far, my daughter, like her brother before her, has eaten everything with gusto–loving all but white potatoes and showing a definite preference for tart or cheesy over sweet.

She's about to turn 1, so she will get eggs and wheat one of these days…when I get up the nerve 😉
