Oh the Things You Can Think! Celebrate with NEA’s Read Across America

Did you know that, according to the National Center for Education Statistics, since 1993 only 53 to 58 percent of children ages three to five are read to at home on a daily basis?! I don't know about you, but I find that a pretty terrifying thought. 

Since 1998, over 50 organizations along with parents and teachers all over the country have come together on Theodore Guisel's (aka Dr. Seuss) birthday to celebrate the importance of reading and to motivate children to read. According to the National Education Association, the government organization which sponsors Read Across America 45+ million children and adults are expected to participate nationwide this year!
