Margaux and May, is a baby product company that has chosen to are avoid the typical newborn color palate and designs in favor of more mom-centric designs leaning towards style and sophistication. Check out the gorgeous animal prints to the left–it’s a picture of the same twin-set of organic swaddle blankets in the giveaway at the bottom of this post!
These blankets are incredibly soft and generously sized at 120cm x 120 cm/47″ x 47″, which are certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) as being made from 100% organic cotton. Not to mention, they are hand-woven by experienced artisans; with a practice dating back to the Bangladesh of Medieval Times.
My husband is a graphic designer and an artist. He is often taking pictures for his latest graphic design project of whatever new work of art that he is working on–how else could he properly advertise himself. Not to mention the millions upon millions of pictures that both my husband and I seem to take of our kids’ every move–often it seems that we are so busy recording our children that we forget to come out from behind the camera.
For quality pictures, a phone doesn’t always cut it–sometimes, you just need a really good camera. A decent camera is a big purchase, so we’ve been doing some research on the best models to buy.
We’re a pretty low tech family, so I held out for a loooong time before giving in to buying a gaming console for our household. Finally, after tons of research about safe gaming for kids and available games, I settled on a Nintendo WiiU and we’ve been enjoying it ever since.
GameStop’s trade-in policies and the huge bins of pre-owned games have been really useful in helping us build up our game collection–I love being able to sell back games that aren’t a hit (you never really know until you take them home!)
As Hanukkah is halfway over and Christmas is just a few short days away, it’s good to know how many last minute deals GameStop has for all of us procrastinators.
Welcome to our week-long, bobble SPORT reusable water bottle giveaway, that we are co-hosting with a wonderful group of bloggers from across the United States.
Experts tell us that to be fully hydrated, we’re supposed to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day (something which I am admittedly terrible at!)
The easiest way to make sure that you spend all day drinking is to always have a bottle in your bag and reusable water bottles are clearly a much more environmentally-friendly way to go than constantly grabbing a bottle of water out of your supermarket’s refrigerator case.
Did you know that Americans used about 50 billion plastic water bottles last year which, with a U.S. recycling rate for plastic of only 23 percent, means 38 billion water bottles are wasted each year3. ? (from Ban The Bottle )
Even in a world where much of our communication is via keyboard and screen, there’s still something wonderful about a handwritten note or a real-life a holiday or birthday card without any dancing emoticons.
I have spend much of my life chafing against the constraints of the handwritten note (please, not another thank you note!), but I am still very much a lover of pen and paper. And nothing about receiving an email compares to the excitement of opening up a real, stamped envelope.
Minted.com is an online stationery store powered by a global community of designers–which means that artists and designers all over the world submit their creations to try to win their chance to be your next holiday card or stationery design.

We are very excited to be giving away toxic-free goodies from Brooklyn (New York) based company Nine Naturals. Forward-thinking Nine Naturals make personal products which are smart and safe for moms and moms-to-be. They craft their products (which include shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, deodorant, body wash, sunscreen and lip balm) using only natural and organic ingredients.
Though many of us are aware of the dangers of eating foods and foods sprayed with pesticides, drinking excessive coffee, drinking alcohol and smoking during pregnancy, we rarely think about the chemicals that we are applying topically via so many mainstream personal products.
