Even in a world where much of our communication is via keyboard and screen, there’s still something wonderful about a handwritten note or a real-life a holiday or birthday card without any dancing emoticons.
I have spend much of my life chafing against the constraints of the handwritten note (please, not another thank you note!), but I am still very much a lover of pen and paper. And nothing about receiving an email compares to the excitement of opening up a real, stamped envelope.
Minted.com is an online stationery store powered by a global community of designers–which means that artists and designers all over the world submit their creations to try to win their chance to be your next holiday card or stationery design.
Look at just some of the cool designs that I found on the Minted that are new for this holiday season–I was focusing my search on photo cards, but there are plenty of cards that don’t require you to upload photos as well.
For Christmas, I thought that the “Wreck the Halls” card was cute and funny and the “Fun Facts” card was a nice way to share a family update to far-flung relatives and friends.
Since my family celebrates Hanukkah, I was happy to see that there were plenty of options for Jewish-themed cards as well. While there were plenty of cards adorned with old-school Stars of David, I was happy to find a whole bunch of more modern options like the NYC Subway train symbols and the deconstructed Hanukkah menorah.
To make your holiday card shopping a little easier, Minted has decided to extend their Cyber Monday discounts for an additional day until Tuesday 2/2: 15% off + free shipping on holiday cards. Code: 15CM | 25% off everything else. Code: 25CM.
To help you further, Minted has given me the chance to offer one lucky reader a $50 credit to make your shopping even more fun.
