Let’s get this out of the way: I am not, nor has any member of my immediate family ever been, a sports fan.  I didn’t grow up in a team sports-loving and, for better or worse, I’m not raising my kids in one.

That said, going to a ballgame is an adventure that I would hate for my kids to miss out on–the food, the fans and the overall atmosphere are something that every kid should experience at least once.

Since I heard that Lisa Loeb was going to be in concert in NY, I have had the lyrics to her 1994 hit single Stay (I Missed You) from the Reality Bites soundtrack going over and over in my head…
I was in high school when the movie came out, and, while I can’t remember much about the movie except that Winona Ryder and was in it, I definitely remember that song. (It’s all coming back to me, now I’ve got to rent that movie!)
